Dr. Varon graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Animal Science and the distinction of highest honors. He went on to attend UC Davis’ School of Veterinary Medicine, where he specialized in companion animals. He has special interests in surgery, reproduction, oncology and end of life care. Dr. Varon also loves seeing Bulldogs and other short-faced breeds. He is proficient soft palate and nares resection, screw tail surgery, various eye surgeries, and other surgeries crucial for short-faced breeds.
He also has an interest in most all types of surgeries including TPLOs and fracture repair. Dr. Varon’s love for animals shows through his exemplary commitment to helping the animal community of Sacramento. He volunteered for the Mercer Clinic for the Homeless, which provides free veterinary care for the animals of the homeless. He also volunteered for the underprivileged in Central and South America, performing surgeries on both their cats and dogs.
When not taking care of Sacramento’s pets, you can find Dr. Varon out with his two rescues: A Golden Doodle named Autumn and a German Short Haired Pointer named Ziggy. He is a big fan of fitness, and in his spare time, you will find him snowboarding, fishing, and about any other outdoor activities with Autumn and Ziggy.
